My condolences go out to our British audience members as their World Cup journey comes to end. I can only imagine how high the alcohol sales numbers that British pubs brought in post loss. However, If drowning your sorrows post loss has yet not worked, we have the best next thing - music.
As good as England claims to be at futbol (soccer), I think their real claim to fame is dance music. The country has produced more big names than any other in this genre. You have the obvious English heavyweights (Fourtet, Fred Again, Disclosure, etc) but you also have so many lesser known British DJs who are progressing the music scene forward. We try our best to find the DJs who have the potential of becoming “heavyweights” and share them with the community.
One of these DJs is North London native, Jasper Tygner. I’ve known about Jasper Tygner for a little bit now, but did not fully dive into his production until hearing his recent release, “Deny It.” This spicy tune inspired me to go down the Tygner rabbit hole to see what I could find.
A little less than a year ago, Jasper made a mix for music company, Dummy Magazine. In this mix, he showcased the elements that make him an exciting talent to keep an eye on. As most of the mixes that I enjoy, Jasper flows in and out of different moods and genres. I see the first half of this mix as one big build up for its peak moment at around the 40 minute mark with tracks by Two Shell and some of his own unreleased songs. Great mix by Jasper and let’s see what the future holds for his DJ.
